CutTime Simfonica

CutTime Simfonica

Classical Ensemble

CutTime Simfonica

CutTime® was started within the Detroit Symphony Orchestra by bassist-composer Rick Robinson to introduce the joys of lively symphonic and classical music to curious newcomers and students. After leaving his position in 2012, he teamed up with more versatile musicians to employ jazz and folk elements to entertain while taking audiences inside the music of Back, Mozart, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Ellington and his own funky-romantic works. Audiences get to join in on toy percussion and learn how to take ownership of wordless classical music. While Simfonica is the smaller of the two ensembles, CutTime is a cool shortcut into classical music.
